The place behind the scent

A cabin in autumn

A remote wood, early morning. Cold air through tall trees, resin in the bark, a dry smoke.

Cold air through tall trees.

A morning further north than you usually go. The trees are tall enough that the light arrives in columns. The cold air holds the resin close to the wood. Somewhere back a small fire has been out for hours. The smoke that remains isn't a fire anymore, it's the dry memory of one. Moss. Stone. You can hear yourself breathe, because there is nothing else to hear.

We choose only what's needed. Plant wax, a 60/40 blend of rapeseed and coconut, that pours cool and burns slow. A hardwood wick, no metal core, that crackles low. Glass we wash and re-use when it comes back.

Phthalate-free. Petroleum-free. Nothing added for colour. Pure, honest, deliberately chosen.

Each candle carries a place.

The candle is the place. The Letter Club is its story. Each month a different place arrives, with the letter, the print, the frame card, and the scent it came from.
