Postcards from the Atelier

Fragments from a working studio. Small updates, things on the table, places we keep returning to, and notes from the people who carry the candles home.

A jar of dried mandarin peel, two glass weights holding down proof sheets, the second pass at next month's letter.

Candle of the month — Fleur de Tiaré

The May candle. Hand-poured in the Netherlands, plant wax, wooden wick. 220g, 45-hour burn.

A hallway in late November

Damp coat, terracotta tile, the door to a room that no one is in yet.

Lit it the morning my daughter was born. The light came in slowly.
