Atelier

 

A small studio in the Netherlands, where seven candles are made by hand.

Each candle is built around a place — somewhere we've been, or somewhere we keep returning to in our heads. Sicilian Grove is a hillside in late July. Velvet Smoke is a bar past midnight. Sacred Myrrh is a quiet that has weight. The scent isn't the place; it's how you get back to it.

We pour with rapeseed and coconut wax. Wooden wicks. Glass vessels we keep clean enough to reuse. Each one cures for a week before it's labelled and packed.

Nothing about this is fast. We make small batches because we want to know which candle is going where. The label is glued by hand. The wick gets trimmed before it ships. If we think one isn't right, it doesn't go.

This is Issue No. 1 — seven candles, made in 2026. The next will arrive when it's ready.
