The afternoon it was hottest, we stopped on a path above the water. The stone was warm through the sole. A lemon tree had dropped some fruit, but the smell wasn't the fruit. It was the leaves, warmed all day. A thin wind came up from the sea, then went. No one came up the path behind us. It stayed that way for a long time.

We choose only what's needed. Plant wax, a 60/40 blend of rapeseed and coconut, that pours cool and burns slow. A hardwood wick, no metal core, that crackles low. Glass we wash and re-use when it comes back.

Phthalate-free. Petroleum-free. Nothing added for colour. Pure, honest, deliberately chosen.
