It starts with material.

Wax blend: 60 / 40

We choose only what's needed. Plant wax, a 60/40 blend of rapeseed and coconut, that pours cool and burns slow. A hardwood wick, no metal core, that crackles low. Glass we wash and re-use when it comes back.

Phthalate-free. Petroleum-free. Nothing added for colour. Pure, honest, deliberately chosen.

The oils are composed by perfumery houses in France, and arrive as concentrate. We blend them into wax in our atelier in the Netherlands, one scent at a time.

A scent settles in three. Top notes arrive first, bright and fleeting. Heart notes unfold slowly, the centre of the place. Base notes stay long after the flame is out.

Each batch holds fewer than a hundred candles. We pour them by hand in our atelier in the Netherlands. Each one is labelled one at a time, by the same hands that poured it.

After pouring, the candle cures for seven days before it ships. The wax settles, the scent draws inward. The candle takes its shape from how it is made. Patient, deliberate, by hand.

Each candle carries a place.

The candle is the place. The Letter Club is its story. Each month a different place arrives, with the letter, the print, the frame card, and the scent it came from.
